Rockanje – Renovation Dorpsplein

Being the core area of the municipality of Westvoorne, Rockanje, has undergone a remarkable change in the surroundings of the town hall as well as the town square.

Hollandschap responded on an urban planning level to the propositions for the town square. We clearly tried to incorporate the character of the old dike, the Dorpstraat, and the church surroundings in the new center plan.

The architects, who are connected to the team of Hollandschap, have made visualizations to show what the area could look like in the future. These visualizations were used by the town planning department to deliberate on the plans.

Finally, a very integral and harmonious plan was developed. The final development of the ground level contributed to the anew flourishing of the area.
