Alblasserdam – Oost Kinderdijk

The architect agency, Van Tilburg & Partners, created the design for the Papiergarenfabriek Oost-Kinderdijk in Alblasserdam in assignment of the contracting company Gebrs. Blokland b.v.

Hollandschap created the landscape design for this project site. The principles for the landscape design were as follows:

• Preserve the current sight lines from the existing buildings, and from the Oost-Kinderdijk on the river “the Noord”.
• The view from the dike houses and apartments on the river.
• Amplify the landscape character of the area with the dike and the reed bed.
• Good accessibility for both cars and pedestrians.
