Amsterdam – Beatrixpark

The Beatrixpark is located in the southern part of Amsterdam: “Amsterdam-zuid”. The park can be subdivided into three sections; the original Beatrixpark, the centre zone, and the area along the beltway.

For renovation of the Beatrixpark several principles were determined. One of these principles was that the relation with the connecting areas had to be reinforced. The park mainly attracts visitors north of the A10 high way which borders the southern edge of the park. By reinforcing the connections with the surrounding areas the park creates more recognition and “brand” awareness. In order to maximize the visitor experience, the park had to be perceived as one coherent entity.
