‘s-Gravenzande – Redesign Town Center

In 1994 Hollandschap was asked to create a masterplan for the town center of ‘s Gravenzande. Throughout the process extensive consultation with the local government and shopkeepers took place. The main purpose of the project was to make the new center more modern and of high quality. The previous landscape in the town center was very overwhelming and the large trees made the area very dark in both winter and summer. By rearranging the vegetation and by denying access of cars to the area, the town center had become more accessible and a pleasant place to go shopping.
